Understanding Builder’s Risk Insurance

As a developer or property owner, your builder's risk insurance:

▶ Protects you if someone get hurts on your property. You're liable for anything that happens onsite;
▶ Covers loss of building materials like drywall, PVC pipes, plywood, stucco, or ceramic tile;
▶ Provides coverage if something happens to the structure, like a roof collapse or vandalism.

Reasonable profit or lost income can be covered by builder's risk if something happens on or to the vacant property you're remodeling or renovating that previously had tenants.
